I am actually a supporter of the 2nd amendment. But allowing completely unregulated expression thereof allows some people to exert what amounts to censorship by threat of terrorism. Funny how gun nuts so often state that they need their 2nd amendment rights to protect their first amendment rights, when in this case the unregulated expression of 2nd amendment rights amounts to a clear trampling of the spirit of the first amendment. To be clear, I know this is more an issue with Utah state law than it is with federal gun laws, but it also speaks volumes about the atmosphere of dominance and intimidation which permeates American firearm culture.
