I am afraid that we have some dreadful news which we feel we should share with you all. Our beautiful Cleo died on Saturday afternoon. She was playing with her sister Willow, running free in a field which we thought was secure and had used to run the pups many times. Unfortunately they both got through a hedge. In trying to get back to Fiona and Kelsey they ran along a road where Cleo was hit by a car. The duty vet was on her way when Cleo died of her injuries. Cleo died quietly in Kelsey and Fionas arms; they continued talking to her quietly and calmly so she knew that she was not alone and she knew that she was loved. A sad and tragic end to such a short life. Willow is presently wandering the house with one of Cleos toys, looking for her sister and playmate. Willow whimpers in her sleep and we know that she is missing her sister. Just like Willow, we shall miss our sweet, bouncy, mischievous and loving girl Cleo. She was an incredibly loving dog. I hope that you will forgive the delay in making this known; we needed to tell Liz and family before they would read it on the internet.
