I am all for affordable health care- a voluntary system where there is affordable care that is optional - but to be forced off of my insurance plan- and onto a more expensive plan- simply because the government needs young, healthy people to pay more than their fair share to supplement people that are less healthy or have less finances…. and to punish me if I make more money by raising the rate of my health care…. especially when the figures they are using are ridiculously skewed by having a rental property and by being self-employed…. thats not fair….. make it optional and where nobody loses their current plan- fine- Id vote for that…. make it a forced purchase- where the government is now taking a client away from Geisinger and sending me to Highmark… where I had insurance cancelled…. because it didnt offer me maternity coverage….. why should the government be in the business of determining supply and demand…. i.e., the auto industry, the airline industry, the postal industry, the medical industry….. the banking industry….. lets see- the government gave tens of millions of dollars to GM while GM knew about defective vehicles on the road (cobalt), and used the governments money to give huge bonuses to execs….. the airline industry rewards poor management, as does the auto industry, as does the banking/mortgage industry…. as the postal industry….. most of our government programs are bankrupt…. and yet….the government is taking over the largest/most comprehensive financial industry of all- the health care industry…. imagine the oversight- all the workers that are going to be needed…. how can you believe that this Affordable Care Act will work….. every year the cost of the plans is going to go up exponentially….. Im very scared… as a small business owner….. as an American….
