I am all in favor of the NFL (or any level of football) being extra cautious when it comes to making the game safer. Especially when it comes to head injuries. Let be honest, if it was up to the players, they would never take themselves out of the game to get their head evaluated for a concussion. So I like that the organizations like the NFL and NCAA are forcing players to be taken out and evaluated. But people need to realize and make no mistake about it, football is a violent game and its meant to be played that way. And I do not mean the crack back blocks or huge hits on wide receivers going across the middle. The collisions on the oline and dline or linebackers taking on fullbacks and running backs happen every play on every game and those may not look like it, but those are as violent a collisions as any during the course of a game. There is no way to make the game any safer than it is without changing the integrity of the game. Also, if players decide to play the game, you accept the fact that on any given play, you can possibly suffer an injury. Big or small. As players you take the risk and you accept it. You also accept the consequences later in life. Its part of the game folks, thats why not everyone can play.
