I am already eagerly looking forward to the next Eidsvold ride! What an excellent, exhilarating experience the Splendacrest Team had at this years ride, held at Rockybar Station. This ride was established by endurance elder, Alwyn Torenbeek, and entrusted to Peter Williams and an eclectic ensemble including Yvonne, Roddy and Janny, Dee, Luke, Jon, Libby, Joyce, and Erica Williams to ensure success. With no exaggeration, I can explain that this event was of epic effort! From the effusive welcome to the element of enterprise in the trophies and completion prizes, every detail was essentially excellent. We enjoyed the emerald scenery, the eucalyptus environment and the exemplary friendliness exhibited by everyone. Esteemed Vet extraordinaire Luke Annetts, along with his exciting crew, endeared themselves to everybody. I must endorse the enormous effort by everyone! Our entire team emerged successfully, with Sam Yates gaining 2nd Mwt placing and BC on the enthralling Kirrong Khalaan, and Sascha Jones exuding confidence on Splendacrest Zafire to gain 7th Lwt placing. Ronan McKay was entrusted to exercise Splendacrest Grouse, and placed 4th in the Jnr division. Tahlia Franke took time out from studying (to the point where I had to tell her not to ruin her eyes in the dim light of the campfire!) and had the enviable task of educating Edge in the art of enduring 80km, and placed 3rd in the Jnr division. I cant elaborate enough as to the exceptional encounter we all experienced. This ride was so evidently exciting for all and I entreat you to earmark Eidsvold on your annual endurance calendar. This ride will become the envy of established venues, as evinced by the edicts expressed by all who embarked on the journey to Eidsvold this weekend. Long live Rockybar! Hope this has effectively enlivened your entire day!
