I am always fascinated with smart cats. Smart dogs are impressive, too, I’m just not around too many dogs. Sometimes it’s a nice feeling to be smarter than animals. It is not too easy to see ourselves as kind of dumb in the total picture of smarts, and see politicians, government people, commercial people, law enforcement exhibit often such overwhelming stupidity. One of my distinct hopes is that we are super smart in the next life (if there is one). I hope every person looks back and has the impulse to slap their own forehead. “Holy shit, I was really stupid.”
