I am always late, but I know he doesnt care cause he is always late too, we are so much alike that at times I think I cloned his brain, ever those he wont admit it. Lol I want to wish dad a very happy birthday and let him know just how much he means to me. Although our song was always Christie by Bobby Vinton, which is what I was named after, as I grew up and this song came out, it was like the modern version of that song, and I fell in love with it. No one can ever replace the man that held me first, who taught me to ride a bike, who shared my love for music even though he wanted me to learn guitar and I chose the piano, who would come out of the garage dancing like a goofball as I was blasting my rap music as I washed my car, who cheered me on at my softball games, who taught me all about cars, who hugged me when I had a broken heart, who loves my babies more than life itself, and who will drop everything he is doing at the drop of a dime with just a simple phone call from me saying dad. You worked so hard your entire life to provide for me and mom, to send me to private school, to spoil me rotten, and grow up with more love than a person could ever absorb in a day. I always saw how hard you worked and never took for granted what it took for you to do what you did, and to this day, you havent stopped. You showed me what it means to be genuine, to do whatever you could to help someone out, and to wear your heart on your sleeve, even at the risk of it being crushed. You taught me about integrity and honesty, values that I hold so dear, and you instilled in me a faith that I always had someone watching over me. You still continue to challenge yourself to grow as a person and even learn new skills, showing me to never settle because you can do anything that you put your mind to and dont let anyone tell you otherwise. There are so many life skills that You taught me that I reflect on as I live day to day to be the person you have taught me to be. I will always be your little girl, and you will always be my hero!! I love you for the dad and pop-pop you are, and I am so incredibly proud to tell anyone who you are, because I am the luckiest girl to be able to say, you are my dad!! XOXO Kenny Heard
