I am an ACA success story! Prior to enrolling in the ACA, I had no insurance coverage--for 8 years! My employers either didnt offer it, or offered it at a premium I couldnt afford. Through the ACA, I was able to get an excellent BCBS plan at a cost of $68 per month, with a $500 deductible and $700 maximum out of pocket costs! And this in a Republican-controlled state that refused the Medicaid expansion which would have given thousands of residents free health care! I am so grateful that for the first time in nearly a decade I will be able to see a doctor when I am sick, get prescriptions when I need them, and manage my health instead of just ignoring health care issues! This would not be possible in my Right to Work state without the Affordable Healthcare Act.
