"I am an alumnus sa atong minahal nga MSU-IIT which is famous for its name, teachers and of course students. The name and reputation of IIT is complimentary to her teachers and students. But, teachers and students sometimes walk different paths. Terror teachers are one of things that make IIT, IIT, that’s a fact-a reality. Your stay in IIT will not be complete if you’ve never been under one. It’s common-it’s life. Pero kanang professors that show preferential treatment (aka. favoritism) to his/her kapamilya, kapuso, kapatid, kakampi, kalahi and the likes, is not good to IIT and to its name. I been under that kind of professor, a program adviser, professor’s “kapamilya” (aron dili halata) is a classmate. As a policy of the Institute, kung nay 5.00, 15 units ra jud ang pwede kuhaun (naa pa ba na karon?). But, her “kapamilya” was able to have full loads and considering that she had a 5.00 for 3 semesters and able to graduate in 4 year time. As far as I can remember, wala cya nagsummer except for the 1 summer term required for our course. Kung dili na favor2x, so what is that? Good thing, karma came (really) and in a more wounding way, among my classmates that “kapamilya” was the only one who failed the board exam and thinking that we have topnotchers. I been out of IIT for almost 3 years and I hope that these teachers are already extinct or in the brink of extinction. Experiencing something like this is disheartening and demoralizing especially for the students that were not able to enroll in a particular subject kay wala nay slot and because an adviser gave special treatment to his/her cohorts. The system is there to root out undeserving students but some that has power tipped it off just to accommodate someone they fancy. Make that system work and be strengthen and be applied to anyone regardless of who they are and who they know. The Institute should have a mechanism that will address and solve this problem. "
