I am ashamed of being from Montreal on this Sad Day. When did - TopicsExpress

I am ashamed of being from Montreal on this Sad Day. When did some of the people who are around us turned into such heartless mean racist pigs. Naima Rharouity, a 47-year-old mother of two died in a tragic accident in a Montreal metro station on Thursday, January 30, 2014. Stop for a minute and just picture it. A Normal day for all of us going about our way....but not for this women. She had no idea that yesterday would be the last day she would see the Sun shining...the blue skies....her family....her 2 childrens precious face....the world as she knew it...the world she lived the way she had chosen. A moment where the unexpected could have happened to anyone of us. Her scarf .... no matter wear she chose to wear it or how she chose to wear it .....got caught in the escalator in the Metro...her quick thinking made her bend down to grab it and pull it out ..... We would have done the same. But sadly this also caused her hair to supposedly get caught too. It would have happened to anyone else with long hair also. But what does this Belle Provence say to this Terrible tragedy......they are now blaming it on her head covering - the Hijab. I am disgusted by these horrible people who can turn this awful thing that happened into a political issue. Shame on you all. May Karma bite you in the ass - ten times over .... may you suffer equal or greater tragedy in your life ahead. May Hells doors be wide open to greet you on your last day- and may your last day be mocked or tossed aside over an issue which has no part at that moment. I want everyone to Stop just for one minute and think.... This could have been You...your sister...your niece...your aunt...your Mother.... a friend....a family member. It could have been anyone of us who happend to have worn a scarf on this chilly January Day. Muslem or Not.... It could have happened to anyone of us. And the sad part is.... then it would have been just a very tragic accident. No blame... just an accident. Shame on you all who have taken this moment where respect and sympathy is required and turned it into a political matter. To the family of Naima Rharouity ~ My sincere condolences on the tragic passing of your Daughter ~ Sister ~ Mother ~ Cousin ~ Niece ~ Friend. May God welcome her with open arms and may he be there to comfort you all. R.I.P.
