I am asked to sign a standard contract to use cloud computing - TopicsExpress

I am asked to sign a standard contract to use cloud computing services. The contract has many clauses and appear to be loaded and unfair to consumers. The service provider said that it is vetted by their lawyers and has been accepted by its customers. I do not accept this reasoning. Most lawyers write the contract to look after the interest of their client and push the uncertainty to their customers, often in an unfair way. It is too costly for each customer to engage its own lawyers. A better approach is for some public body to vet the standard contracts on behalf of consumers and give it a rating of fairness. I like to get the Financial Services Consumer Association to play this role, and wish to look for lawyers who are interested to volunteer their services or to charge a modest rate for this service.
