I am asking for prayers for several people I know whose lives have been changed because of CANCER. Where did this word originate...I wish we could DELETE it from our vocabulary. Recently Ive had two friends diagnosed with breast cancer. One will be having surgery this coming Tuesday and the other one is having hers the followng week. I have a friend whose sister has been fighting fir her life for 3 yrs. She has endured horrendous surgeries. Shes had body parts removed and other parts relocated, and after all of this, cancer is taking her life. I have to say I was pretty pissed when I heard this. She has fought hard....I will not say she lost her fight... I work with a young boy who is fighting and most likely will win. :) But today, I was upset to hear that a lady I work with at Sams has been told that her husband has cancer. A couple of weeks ago his back popped ...when checked out...cancer had eaten through his spine. He underwent a 10 hour surgery to place a rod in his back...and also the cancer is in other parts of his body. Hes 53 yrs. old, has lost the use of his legs, they dont know where it originated. This lady struggles to financially survive she works multiple jobs. My heart was breaking for her today as she sobbed telling me. I know there are others I know who have children fighting this monster. This year Ive been struggling with some things that have physically and mentally taken a toll on me and Ive had moments where I was ready to throw the towel in. But recently Ive been shown that my struggles are small compared to others. I feel guilty for being weak. Im asking you, my friends, if any one of these people cross your mind when praying, please pray that their lives receive peace. I pray that soon this disease will no longer be a part of our vocabulary. Thank you if you read this far...Im sorry its so lengthy.
