To be respectful of your space 2. Not be pushy or barge forward 3. To change speed and direction smoothly and softly (develop soft responses) 4. Give up behavior you do not want 5. To be cooperative and try to comply with all reasonable requests 6. To be a willing partner and show trust and respect to their human leader 7. To understand the mind, language and psychology of horses 8. To be aware of and support a healthy emotional life for the horse 9. To spot potential problems before they become big issues and how deal with them 10. How to always have successful outcomes with a horse. Additionally: Learn to train a horse to accept a saddle, bridle and rider. Discover how to develop a good attitude within the horse. Good methods for trailer loading, veterinary visits and farrier visits. Learn to desensitize the horse to potentially scary objects, sounds and events. Both ridden and ground work.
