I am back from the inaugural Manchester Township Historical - TopicsExpress

I am back from the inaugural Manchester Township Historical Society Antiques Roadshow fundraiser. A professional antique dealer/auctioneer gave his opinion on the value of perhaps 100+ items brought in by a very nice crowd which exceeded expectations. Among the Civil War items were a good dragoons pistol and holster, a 10-lb. Parrott shell from the Gettysburg battlefield picked up after the battle, nice CDVs of Lee (signed) and Jackson, and some other items. The most expensive items were some ruby and diamond jewelry at $2,000-$3,000 for each piece and a couple old Pennsylvania long rifles in the same range. One was a model from a gunsmith up in Perry County. I sold a couple of my books and chatted with several folks about the Civil War.
