I am back in the fight! After being away for a while, your friendly neighborhood Raptor is back! As some of you know, I recently moved 1200 miles away from my beloved Denver, CO. I left friends and brothers that I have held on to for many years. I left the life I have been building behind. Very few understand why I chose to make this change, and most have strongly disagreed with the choice. At the end of the day, now that whats done is done, I have to quantify it. Why did I do this? Loyalty. Loyalty means everything to me. In my mind, there are good men, and there are loyal men. These two men are different. While a good man may possess loyalty, and a loyal man may be good in action, the two are not the same. A good man acts out of right and a sense of correctness. If given the choice between the right thing to do, and maintaining loyalty to those he loves, the good man will always choose the side of good. Forsaking bonds for the right thing. This is not wrong, it is just not me. A loyal man acts out of love and dedication. He will not only err on the side of protecting that sacred bond of loyalty even if it means forsaking the right action, but he will, should the need arise, joyfully do wrong in order to maintain the bond he shares with those sacred few. A loyal man will further willingly submit to personal pain, even anguish for those he has paid his allegiance to. It is not dissimilar to the concept of laying your sword at a persons feet. I am not a good man. I have done a great many things through my years that are wrong. I do not claim to be a good man, nor do I care if I am viewed as one. I choose to give loyalty to few, and it is never a random choice. Once I have given it to someone, that person will have it for life. That is why I have uprooted my life, sacrificed everything I loved so dearly about my life, and moved 1200 miles away. Loyalty. I made a choice to give my dedication to a person, and they called me on it. So here I am. Win, or lose, Fight, Defend or Die are our words. So what are you? A good man? A loyal man? Or none of the above? It is not for me, or anyone else to tell you who to be. Just make your choice, and live it. And never forget, we are Lions. We do what we believe is needed. We build the character that we need to survive and win our battles. We do not waste time on opinions of the sheep, sheepdogs or wolves. In every moment, we are lions Fight, Defend or Die. - Raptor
