I am back on Facebook today and will be back in the office tomorrow. It has been a great stay-cation ! I am working my way through a backlog of private messages and other posts. I will get back to everyone but may take a day or two as I have received many. I am very surprised at the outpouring of support for my vacation hydrant painting project! I am so glad people have responded so positively to it. I will keep it up even after my return to work until the downtown is completed. I have received numerous requests for hydrants to be completed on Tilley Street, the Water Front, Near PD HQ, near the Nathan Hale Schoolhouse, union street, and others. I will be doing the painting when I can (lunch breaks, after hours, weekends, in between events, etc) so it will be a slower progression. I do project, however, that I can complete downtown, including the Bank Street, Eugene ONeil and Water Street entrances and exits from downtown, by @ Labor Day. I think when it is completed it will look great and I have been enjoying it immensely. If you see me out painting feel free to stop and visit. If you have business with the City you need to see me about, set up an appointment with my office and I will be happy to meet with you there. It will be good to be back to work !
