I am being cheeky here but read this from Kirk and have shared with lots of people, all of whom ended up in fits of laughter and I felt it needed its own post for a wider audience. Thanks Kirk for sharing this awesome anecdote- I feel it may be repeated at many a camp fire. Its cub camp... were having baked potatoes, and its a lovely sunny day, so we tell the Cubs they can eat outdoors.. Im in the kitchen, and (supposedly) there are two leaders watching the YP outside... All of a sudden, a Cub comes running in screaming that there has been an accident... One trip to hospital burns unit later, I piece together the story... Cub A and his friend, Cub B decide to take their spuds outdoors... Cub A then puts his hot potato inside the front of his underpants, and persuades Cub B to hit it with a cricket bat... Cue screams... Anyway, to cut a long story short, parents are informed, come to pick up Cub A and ask how the accident occurred... I feel that the best policy is to tell the truth, and relate the above story to them, upon which Mum starts crying and moans Not again!...
