I am blessed and happy to report that David is much better today. He is in a considerable amount of pain that is slowly being brought to a tolerable level since he cannot have the usual pain pump due to his kidneys.. His color is better than I have seen it in quite a while and his spirits are lifting to be around. He wants the therapy to work so badly and is very realistic as to long it may take and how much he has to do. God has blessed us so abundantly today after so many days of indecision and no real results. He has not gotten up yet (he just had surgery yesterday) and PT came in wanted to see if he could just sit on the side of the bed, which was a mini disaster due to the pain. He did say that he had phantom toe cramps and uncurled them in his mind. I am hoping and praying for more of these type of days for him, but realistically realize that he still in the woods. I must give all the glory, praise and accolades to the Lord, who strengthens me and sees me through the darkest of times. Matt has been amazing to me and for me and came up to see David today (he loathes hospitals) and was astounded at how well he looked. We have only just begun this process in the new chapter of our lives and what lies ahead is known only by God. I am taking things one day at a time and praying. I want to thank all of you for your numerous prayers and well wishes and ask you to please continue...we know that prayer is the real medicine and you cannot overdose on it. I will update again tomorrow or if anything changes. Very grateful for today. Love to all. Patty.
