I am blessed beyond words to be able to say that today I received a long awaited telephone call informing me that effective October 16th I will become a supervisor and be promoted to the rank of Sergeant within The Kentucky State Police. If that wasnt blessing enough, I will continue to serve the Commonwealth at my home post here in Richmond KY. It has been a journey not without sacrifice, but as has been said many times Nothing good is ever easy. My pursuit of my career has come at a great cost, both professionally and personally. Yet as I begin to see the Lords plan for my life become a bit clearer, and I see how he has moved in my life to make me the man that I am, and to put me in the right places at the right times, blessing me far more than I deserve, I am overwhelmed. So many have helped me along this journey, and I sincerely want each and every one to know that you have my deepest thanks and gratitude. Without the guidance, support, and occasional chastisement, I have received along the way, none of this could have been possible. I am excited to take this next step in my career within an agency that means so very much to me. There are still more challenges to face, more sacrifices to make, and more lessons to learn, for I am far from a finished product. Yet as I have tried my very best to do, each and every day I have been fortunate enough to wear this uniform, I will continue to do all that I can to hold up my end of this proud, Thin Gray Line...
