I am calling out to you for help. It is truly very sad what has happened in Malaysia the severe floods and we need to do more please help us to help them. Malaysia has been hit by the worst flooding in 30 years in the country. The floods have affected a few states in Malaysia, especially the northern and eastern regions of Peninsular Malaysia, where Kelantan and Pahang are the worst hit. World Vision is partnering with our local humanitarian organisation, CREST (Crisis Relief Services and Training), to provide emergency aid to the affected communities. We are now responding in the most affected areas, including Kampung Kelong (Tumpat), Kuala Krai, and Kuala Betis (Gua Musang) in Kelantan. The immediate needs for these affected communities are not only clean water, food, hygiene kits, but our assessment team also found out that back-to-school kits are in great need especially when school will start in less than a week time. Please think of the children to help them get back to school. Thus, World Vision needs your help to raise awareness among your friends or other network about our fundraising drive to provide children affected by flooding with Back-to-School Kits before school starts. Id be really worried if I didnt have a school bag or stationery when school is just days away. Can you imagine so many school children affected by severe floods have to go through such worries? When all the money has been used for urgent needs such as food or cleaning up equipment, what is left for the parents especially, to buy school bags or uniforms?
