I am celebrating a very special sister who is celebrating the special golden jubilee today. Abisola Longe (the lady on my DP) is my Coz(the Ibadan connection) and one of my bestest Sister using our Nigerian lingo. Am not only celebrating her but praying for more of Gods blessings for her and her family. Bisola has so many friends but if you wonder why it is because she is always willing to help her friends. Despite the fact that Bisola went to Queens School Ibadan and I went to Government College Ibadan a year ahead of her at School and as I always like to remind her that am her Egbon even If is only a few months, we never really connected. Even when we where in UK just knew Bisola as my cousin Ronkes close friend. But few years back when I returned back to Nigeria and I was going through some challenges Bisola became the Sister that was always offering advises and full of encouragement for me. For being there at my lowest and highest times I will always appreciate this Iron Lady who is a real family to me. Bis bee/ Cozzin Ibadan as I always call her is one of the few people I call at odd hours(yes there are few of you) when I need advise and guidance. But seriously Bisola is a friend - a real one. Shes there when you need her- offering practical advice on just about everything and Bisola is not a mere theorist who has read the books. She walks her talk and walks it tall. I know shes shy about having her good deeds displayed in public. A less kind person might say thats because if everybody knew just how helpful she could be, shed be called upon all the time. Bisola is modest. However on this occasion Im going to ignore, as it is a good way of showing my appreciation for my wonderful sister and best ever friend. This is a public celebration and Bisola you deserve every happiness. I value your opinion, I value the way we can agree to disagree and still count each other as friends. I admire your humor and humility. Then theres your persistence which some might call stubbornness but which I call hardworking. So before Im forcibly shut-up, Ill do it myself.
