I am chatting on FB with my friend at Chicago. Science has advanced so rapidly. At the click of the mouse we are so closed to each other. I remember those days when I used to Q at the telephone booth at NDDB gate at Anand to call my mother. After 10 pm the call rate was reduced...even then bill used to be huge. The date I remember was 31st December night i.e New Year Eve of 1997. I was returning after outside dinner with my family. I stopped my scooter at NDDB gate to call my Mother at Calcutta. Seeing the long Q at both the booth I had returned home to make a call tomorrow. But I never got the chance and heard my Mothers voice again. She did expire in the morning of 1/1/1997. Long live mobile & telecommunication technology and good luck for present generation.
