I am compelled to give this testimony: Almost two weeks ago I lost a friend tragically to a murder here in Belize. I was literally numb by the event and as a result when into a state of denial, shock, panic, physical and emotional sickness for about a week. It has been a healing process but these unexpected events have a way of pulling you back to Jesus Christ just when youre slipping away. As all of us, I too am a sinner. I started focusing more on completing assignments for my MSc, forgetting to pray, read my Bible, and was simply enjoying life. Just before the tragic news broke I was feeling like the happiest person alive! In a matter of hours I was thrown into dismay. I am writing this to say, dont allow an unfortunate or unexpected event to take place in order to seek Jesus Christ. Eternal life is real and we need to keep Him at the center of our lives no matter the circumstances. I want to thank all those who prayed for me during that time. I want to thank God for bringing me through the last week safely. I am taking it one step at a time but by His stripes, her family and friends will be healed!
