I am completely beside myself. I just received a call from WMBD Channel 31 News stating that I have been nominated (and chosen) as a CI Hero for all of the volunteer work I do in the community and especially for veteran organizations. They want to come out and interview me so they can run my story as a segment on the news and are wanting to shoot footage of me while working with one of my Operation: Pieces of Home families. I am touched beyond belief at being chosen for this and feel amazingly blessed. Ive never done any of what I do for the credit. Ive often said if I could feed my family with volunteer work, Id do it in a heartbeat. I do it because I like helping others and I want to make a difference in their lives. I am so thankful to be in a position to do this. Thank you for nominating me (you know who you are).
