I am completely exhausted! Mad respect for Nursing Assistants, and everyone who works in nursing homes/assisted living, in general. Mad, mad respect. Only one day of training and I dont even know... Not only was it intensely physically and mentally challenging, but it really challenged my emotions, too! Well, maybe it was the job/setting/residents that made me emotional, or maybe it was not sleeping nearly as much as Im used, fretting over my craziness at both my jobs (one of which is so on the edge, I dont know at the beginning of every day if I will even still have it), and not seeing my husband since Sunday. I think Ill take a nap now. Oh, and.... again, I am just thankful to be alive!
