I am concerned for the security of our great nation; not so much - TopicsExpress

I am concerned for the security of our great nation; not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within. General Douglas MacArthur For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.—Ephesians 6:12 Very few people conceive this world to be a battleground. By priorities set before them, people choose to remain neutral in a war that results in life or death, heaven or hell. This battle is real. Our American forefathers knew about this warfare. They knew there was no neutral ground. But today, most people do not see this life as a battleground, but rather a playground. Instead of fighting, many are frolicking. That is how the enemy is lavishly gaining ground. He is camouflaged as an ally!. He entices us to entertain ourselves on foreign soil, as though this is our home. Jesus said he prepared a place for us. But we respond to this promise as though this very brief is all that matters. Satan makes us believe we can be completely safe and satisfied on his soil. We are not. He leads us to believe this life is permanent. It is not. Death is the obvious end to this temporary assignment. No exceptions. As long as I am a soldier in Gods army, I will expect open war with satan. I will seek cover when commanded to do so. I will stand on the front line when commanded to do so. I will retreat when commanded to do so. I will bandage wounded soldiers, and carry them to safety. I will look forward to the eternal victory promised to me, where I will lay down my sword of peace in the indescribable place Jesus prepared for me. Glory!! My desire now, in this life, is to expose the hidden agenda of war to the civilians, and place a sword in their hands. I will be an ambassador to the secure homeland promised by God. I will sacrifice my life and pleasures to save others. My active duty, bound and led by Jesus Christ, is to fight the good fight, to rescue the prisoners of war......and to set the captives free. It is on this battlefield that I am more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens me.
