I am considering banning snake photos from being posted directly - TopicsExpress

I am considering banning snake photos from being posted directly to the timeline simply because arguments, confusion, and disrespect almost always occur. However, I dont really want to do this because there is a great need to educate people about snakes, most especially venomous ones. There are so many myths, urban legends, etc. that perpetuate fear of snakes that needs to be replaced by respect and understanding. While I had hoped members of this group could assist people with transforming fear into respect and myths into actual facts - it is not happening! I will never ban people who are new and need to learn the rules and simply make mistakes as they are trying to learn, but those of you who have been here a while and choose not to follow the rules, you are putting yourselves at risk of being banned. Banning people is a failure to get people to live up to the rules and goals of Natural Florida. I am overall responsible for that failure, but each member either encourages others to live up to the rules and goals of the group or not by their personal example. Are you an ambassador of Natural Florida or an ambassador of Trollville? Do you follow the rules and encourage others to do so, or do you choose to follow the rules only when it is convenient?
