I am copying my friend Diwa Aquino-Gacostas introduction on this report. She has found the right words to capture the profound respect that we all have for our friend John Schenk and his experience during the Rwandan tragedy: On the 20th year since the genocide in Rwanda, photojournalist John Schenk, a dear friend and colleague, went back to memory lane to talk about what he saw and how he felt seeing the worst of man -- what man is capable of doing because of hatred -- unimaginable yet true. John was among the first journalists to witness and report what has been consideredone of the most horrendous acts of violence to take place in modern history. I encourage you to take time to watch and listen to the interview. As you do so, please remember to offer a prayer for all the victims of mans cruelty, those who are suffering as a result of too much hatred and greed, especially those who have been enduring ill fate because of the violence in Syria, Crimea, South Sudan, Central African Republic and many other places, including those happening in our respective countries, and even in our own neighborhoods.
