I am crying happy tears,,,tears of relief,,,tears of sheer bliss..tears of gratitude...tears,tears,tears!! I am so happy to announce that I have just completed what were my final 2 assignments in my Bachelors degree program... There were days when I did not think I was going to be able to do it. I started it on the horizon of a fresh new start, ending a toxic relationship with my sons father and walking away from the home I built and all of my memories (that werent always good but werent always bad either). I have learned perseverance while watching my son struggle through school, holding his head up and never letting him give in...he became my muse..I must do this for him..for me and him, so that he could be proud of me as much as I have always been of him!! He is my very special gratitude in all of this. Had he not been born I would have never had the strength, the ambition or the confidence to close the door on the abuse I obediently took for many years...I knew that once I started on this journey that I had to finish because I was his role model, I was the person he would always need to come to for help...advice..fort...inspiration..balance....turns out, in the 3 years that it took me to get to this very moment he was MY saving grace. He has been my inspiration, my comforting companion when I wanted to throw in the towel (one look into his eyes, I kept trudging along) He provides me with balance and inspiration each day...unconditional love all wrapped up into this perfect child that I helped to create. Family and friends are not far from this list to be thankful for...I have gained wisdom and emotional support in forms I never knew capable, I am BLESSED!!! Thank you so much for being here,ALWAYS!
