I am curious on some opinions. I had found a local pediatrician that I planned to use. However, we are not going to. Not because of anything medical, but because of a new policy in place. Beginning April 1st, they refuse to see anyone without a credit card/bank account on file in which they can automatically bill. You are required to sign a contract for this. They will not tell you what they plan to bill, since they dont know what they will charge for an office visit in advance! Plus they cant predict what insurance will pay. They only said that they will never charge more than $200 per month. Has anyone seen this sort of thing among doctors yet? I found it offensive actually...but perhaps I am just quirky. Grant you, I believe it is right to pay our debts, but I just dont like this for several reasons. Thoughts?
