I am currently gathering information/opinions on the Riverfront Inn project from residents in Titusville-the property owner has had 10+ years to decide what he wants to do with the property, and has done nothing, as we all know…some are of the mindset of let him have whatever he wants so we can get the buildings torn down, which, in a sense, makes sense. But, in Titusville, historically speaking, this is ALWAYS what happens with developers/wannabees-I could only dream that every investment I make comes with the affordable luxury of having 10+ years to develop it, based on a downturn in the economy…our mall developers arent buying into this…Mike Wade isnt and hasnt bought into this, and continues to develop…much development is happening at Space Coast Airport, (Tico), new housing developments are popping up, our economy is in an upturn! My opinion currently, is not to give away the cow with the milk. I am looking for opinions, as I plan to lobby for what is right before our city council-I would love to hear POSITIVE feedback only, (which means keep your negative comments to yourselves, and if youre going to be negative, keep your mouth shut-this is not an open forum for you to vent), so that I can properly represent the positive consensus at the council meeting/vote-please keep in mind that one way or the other, the place will be torn down, even if the city has to at their expense and the property is liened by the city…it is my current opinion that this person(s) is/are taking advantage of the city of Titusville, and it is time for us to stand up and say no, you will do what you agreed to and SAID you were going to do years ago that you havent…given time, he/they will simply walk away from it, and the city can decide at that time, with hopefully proactive leadership, what is the best course of action to undertake-thank you!
