I am currently on a border security tour to determine how we can better secure our national border. Yesterday, in California we listened to our men and women on the front lines from the Border Patrol, Coast Guard, ICE, Homeland Security and others. Today, we are in Arizona listening to ranchers along the border. Next week, the House will be voting on a bill written by Homeland Security Chairman McCaul that I currently cosponsor. This bill is a good start. I look forward to sharing my insights with the Judiciary Committee as we work to secure our border through legislation that addresses the need for more interior enforcement.
