I am currently standing in the middle of what use to be my beloved lil slice of heaven. A little 200 square foot grooming salon beaten, and battered in the May 19th tornado. Picked up, and the dropped back down, my lil heaven was calleda total structural loss.. Its been 10 months since the world turned upside down. So much has been done to recover, with SO much left to do.. The words we still are not back to where we were before the storm has echoed among many here in our little community. There is debris still being pulled from the woods, blown down with every wind storm. The birds chirp on the sad broken limbs of now dead trees. Looking out is a constant reminder of how life, even broken goes on in some form. Now, standing here today in my lil tiny broken down old salon, sorting through the emotions of months of struggle they just pour out. Then comforting calm, a readiness to keep moving foward. A resolution of sort fills my mind and heart... Me, this place, my family will never be back to how were before the storm...NEVER. It never could be the same... its not possible for anyone that goes through such a disaster and loss. My resolve....WE, the family, the house, my salon...everything will BE BETTER!! It will take more time and we may have set backs, but the destination is glimmering in the sun.. and its beautiful. I now have 512 foot grooming salon, actual space getting closer to perfection everyday. And life is not over for the tiny lil ol grokming shop. After much discussion, prayer and wood it will serve our family, the community, and groomers still. We are happy, and excited to open a new state of the art, and professionally trained sharpening service, soon!!!
