I am dealing with people who just dont understand what being an independent business owner truly is. I hear things like Why do I have to pay to be in business? and That wont work and these are the people who have become reliant on someone else to run their lives. I dont mean to be disrespectful, but these are people who really dont understand what true time and financial freedom are. I owned a janitorial business with my ex-wife over 30 years ago because I didnt want to be reliant on someone else to determine what my future would look like. We invested over $10,000 into starting the business and had to pay to replenish our cleaning supplies monthly and why did we get into that particular business? It was because it was the least expensive business that we could get into and something we could do without a lot of schooling or training. We not only worked our business, but we both had full-time jobs and through our strong ethics we made it work. Thankfully we were young enough to work with so little sleep, but we were making extra money. After two years we realized that this was okay, but not giving us the income or time freedom that we envisioned and had we found a better blueprint for a business we would possibly not gotten divorced. But the fact is, there are better options out there for people and if people were to keep an open mind and just look at those options objectively, then just maybe they could create a better life for them and their families. Return on investment is something that entrepreneurs understand well, if they invest their time and money wisely, they never have to rely on someone else for their future ever again!
