I am deeply saddened by the passing of my friend Jay Cook. As I sit here with tears flowing I just dont understand the horrific nature of cancer. It took my Sister from me, it has riddled and taken so many others Ive loved, and now it has taken a man of such honor, grace, and dignity. In these last 18 months Jay pulled our hometown community together to reunite in hope and faith. He showed us how to treasure life and still have faith in the darkness. He brought us together in prayer and in love. My hope is that we learn to cherish each moment we are given and never forget a man that inspired us. To his family and all of my hometown friends that loved him too I send my love to you all. And most of all to Max, your Daddy will be by your side all the days of your life, that I can promise you. Rest in peace Jay in the arms of Our Father free from pain. Love you to Heaven and back. Thank you for reminding me what gifts I have in life and to cherish them even In the troubled times.
