I am deeply touched and this will probably be my longest post ever (past, present and future) on facebook. Ive been gifted something that will bless my family, community, nation and world for generations to come. Here is the full story. Viktor Frankl, a holocaust survivor wrote a book called Mans Search for Meaning. In his book, Mans Search For Meaning, he mentioned that there needs to be a Statue of Responsibility built on the West Coast as a bookend to the Statue of Liberty National Monument on the East Coast. International motivational speaker and business owner Steven Covey became involved in the cause and promised Centro Viktor Frankl before he passed that the statue would be built. Steven Covey commissioned world renowned sculptor Gary Lee Price (Gary Lee Price Studio) to design The Statue of Responsibility. Gary has designed the statue which will be built in a city here on the West Coast which will be the same height as the The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc. Four cities are vying to become the home, but only one will be awarded the rights to call this statue home. (Im honored to be one of the few who knows which city is most likely to become its home.) Here is the touching part and why Im involved in the process. Mary Cimiluca, is the executive producer of the film about Viktor Frankls life called Viktor and I (viktorandimovie/), introduced me to Gary, the sculptor and his wife Leesa Price, who is the executive director of the Statue of Responsibility Foundation. (statueofresponsibility). I was blessed to be helpful in some strategic planning consultation related to the foundations structure. Fast forward ahead to last week at the California Womens Conference #cwc2014 #bettertogether, where one of the foundation board members purchased a ticket for Leesa to attend a few days before the event and practically pushed her on to the plane with no preparation or knowledge of why she needed to attend. They were just being what my good friend Glenn Morshower would call Whisper Listeners. Moments after arriving to the event she was ushered backstage as a VIP attendee, was walked right to where I was standing with our film crews, and the two of us quickly become attached at the hip for the rest of the conference. It was a blessing to be able to introduce Leesa to so many good friends of influence and passion: Jack Canfield, Michelle J. Patterson, Berny Dohrmann, Nathan Osmond, Krystal Keith, Jaclyn Patterson, Kristen Spoon, Naomi Temple, Kimberly Schreiber, Amanda Renee Braly, David Munoz, Jennifer Sinclair-Elardo, Sonia Perez, Pharns Genece, Koby Dumas, Michael Stevenson, Kayla Moffett, Kalani Butch Vale, Kaitlyn Kress, Abi Maria Gomes, Gillian Larson, Brandon Fobbs, Cristina Coria, Daniel LaZor, Sandra Dee Robinson, Fagan David, Jill E. Fagan, Christine Larsen, Noelle Paton Fiore, Jeffrey Wolfe, Don King, and so many others. Gary was overly kind in thanking me for spending so much time with Leesa. He just sent me an official designed replica of the statue of responsibility, numbered and signed by him with a lovely thank you note. Actually two, one for my home and one for my office. My heart is so heavy with thanks. Imagine receiving a small Statue of Liberty from the sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi before it was built. Well, that is exactly how I feel right now. Thank you Gary! Now I am helping to coach Marina Inserra (Marina Inserra, Miss Monterey Bay 2013), who will most likely become our next Miss California if all goes as planned. She also has become interested in the cause and movement of the Statue of Responsibility. I just had to share how the Lord has been putting blessings and opportunities in my life in support of this movement. The statue is designed to contain a museum, training areas, restaurants and more inside of the 300 foot structure. While it will take many years to complete the building approvals and actual construction process, the movement around the idea of responsibility is vibrant and alive.
