I am delighted to announce funding boost for local community groups through the latest round of Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants. Three local community groups had received $84,840; a big share of nearly $14 million from 2015’s first round of funding. The Creche & Kindergarten Association received $18,022 to purchase educational resources, $35,000 for T.S.Walrus to upgrade the accommodation building & $31,818.18 to Woongoolba Bowls Club to install an irrigation system. I am proud of my community, especially the hard working non-profit organisations who provide services to families, our elderly and even our furry friends too. They are vital to so many people and I am committed to ensuring they receive the most amount of funding possible.
