I am delighted to announce that Scott Caldwell has joined the Cornerstone Family Interventions, Inc.! Scott is a graduate of the Guyan Valley High School. He enlisted in the United States army when he was 17 years old and completed Basic Training between his junior and senior years of high school. After graduation he completed his Advanced Individual Training at Redstone Arsenal Alabama and spent the next four years as an Ammunition Specialist with the 326 Ordnance Company in Huntington WV earning the rank of Sergeant. While a member of the armed forces he attended Marshall University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies. In 1994, he began working for Prestera Center for Mental Health Services where he held the titles of Behavioral Rehabilitation Specialist and Case Manager. While working as case manager for the CHANCES team he developed and implemented a GED program for the clients of the program. He was promoted in 1998 to the position of House Manager for Woodside Manor in West Hamlin, WV, and the Lincoln County Day Treatment Coordinator. He remained in this position until 2001 when he began working as a Vocational and Rehabilitation Counselor for VASS Vocational and Medical Services. In 2004, he became a Case Manager for Cammack Children’s Center until 2005 when he joined the staff of the Division of Juvenile Services (DJS). With DJS, Mr. Caldwell has been a Community Resource Coordinator for Lincoln, Boone, Logan, Wyoming, McDowell, Mingo, and Wayne Counties and is currently the Director of the Tri-County Youth Reporting Center. He is also the Owner/Operator of Caldwell Rehabilitation Services, LLC. Mr. Caldwell is a present member of the Lincoln County Safe and Stable Families Committee, Lincoln County Substance Abuse Coalition, Boone/Lincoln County Juvenile Drug Court Planning and Evaluation Team and the Chairperson for the Boone County Stop Watch Coalition. He is also nationally recognized as a Certified Disability Management Specialist and has a State Certification as a Licensed Social Worker.
