I am devastated. I am dejected. I am downcast. I am distraught. Words cannot describe the feeling. It came like a thunderbolt. Alhaji delivered it. My BROTHER, my FRIEND........unbelievable was how myself and our mutual long-time friend and brother Dola described the news. I know many of our friends will find it hard to believe it too. BIODUN ROJEE ADUROJA has gone to be with the Lord. Hummmmmm......just like that! I started working the phones to see if someone would tell me ITS NOT TRUE. I reached out to Alhaji. My call took Dola out of bed. To say he was shocked would be an understatement. He promised to reach out to Yinka, another friend, Bioduns neighbor. I started calling Yinkas number too. When I couldnt get hold of Yinka, I suddenly remembered Lawrence Ojo. An elder friend whom we all affectionately called Bros OJ. I started looking for his number. Its not on my current phone. Minutes later, Dola called back. Dapo, its true o We both went silent. Then, Dola came back: Dapo, its even more than that o. WHAT???, I roared back. Yinka also confirmed to me that Bros OJ too has passed on about two weeks ago. The same Lawrence Ojo that I was looking for his number. O PARI! was all I could say to the double devastation. Vanities of vanities, says the Preacher......... GOOD NIGHT ROJEE. GOODNIGHT BROS OJ. MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN PEACE!
