I am driven to revisit two previous posts: one from Friedrich Nietzsches eternal return of the same (live your life as if you must repeat it over and over), one from Frederick Buechners exhortation to live life to its fullest. This one is more fleshed out but I think this observation, from my college friend Barbara Brown Taylor, addresses the same basic issue(s) of how we live our lives. All three provide modest tools for living lives of fulfillment and purpose beyond the quiet desperation in which so many of us dwell.
