I am employed as a public servant. I take personal responsibility in all my tasks and I am diligent in all my efforts. It really disappoints me when coworkers are not as diligent, when they represent a particular part of the college and I rely on them for info from their department and they dont reply to an email simply to prove a point or perhaps they dont know the answer. Who suffers? Not me. Its the student or faculty who suffer. I am paid to serve the public and thats what I do. I dont pick n choose who to help, I dont let my personal opinion of others hinder my service. The people who may not like me at work are most likely the lazy, egotistical or plain incompetent people. These people would never make it for -profit sector. I choose to be in public service and I will continue to work diligently even if I piss off the lame ducks!!
