I am exhausted already and its not yet 8am. Oscar had been sick - TopicsExpress

I am exhausted already and its not yet 8am. Oscar had been sick in his bed, poor thing. And then he had an upset tum that necessitated a bottom wash. He is obviously still feeling poorly and today is his steroid day. Normal logic about dealing with an upset tum go out of the window, he has to have his tablets. So we spent a little while encouraging him to eat a tiny amount of food disguising the vital meds. In the middle of this the bin men with the noisy reversing noise arrive, first time Betty has heard it. Betty is the only one now without an upset tum, so give Betty breakfast in her cage and resume tablet giving. Oscar is the king of chewing and spitting out and his coat a maze to find the tiny missing tablets which would be bad for him to miss or for Tess or Betty to find later. Tablet stuffing and Betty feeding pretty much done, bottom situation under control, dishwasher emptied and refilled. Time for a cup of tea? Betty goes woof. Now is that a play with me woof or I need to go out woof? When in doubt... Out we go again... Oscar and Tess pooping again. I decide to do a CSI type search to find where everyone has pooped and scoop it up and try to work out how poorly both dogs are, as breakfast is definitely looking like a bad idea for both of them.... Just finish scooping - theres a lot of land and a lot of leaves that look like poops. And Betty has weed and pooed again, so that might have been a let me out woof or she may have just now been out long enough to want to go again. Look at Oscars bottom. Wash him again. Wash hands, make cup of tea, go to sit in lounge... go back for bin bag and clear up the remnants on last nights card board box thrashing Betty enjoyed. I do hope Oscar and Tess start to feel better today. Quite unlike Tess to be ill and Oscars bottom has always been an issue, but I have to say I am concerned about whether hes getting to absorb his meds. Will decide whether we go to the vets again for more antibiotics. Hes still perky, no sign of anything other than upset tum at the moment. And Ive still got to finish the VAT.... Poor dogs.
