I am extremely disappointed in House Republicans for approving the King amendment to the Homeland Security Appropriations Act, preventing the administration from using its discretion in immigration enforcement. In 2012, President Obama acted with great wisdom and compassion when he implemented the policy of shielding over a million promising young immigrants from deportation, offering a glimpse of what the DREAM Act would provide. As CAPAC Immigration Task Force Chair, I have led the fight to include humane and workable solutions in comprehensive immigration reform.
