I am extremely humbled, honoured and proud to say this evening at a Gala Awards Ceremony at the Sydney Town Hall, I was awarded the 2014 National Pride of Australia Medal for Environment. I am extremely honoured, humbled and so proud of our efforts and what we are doing environmentally in Port Hedland and the Pilbara. I must thank my lovely fiancé Peter Pope who has been an amazing source of support, encouragement and assistance. Thank you to all the Care For Hedland staff, committee, members and volunteers over the past decade. And thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged and extended their friendship & help - it is this support that has helped me to do what I do. I am so lucky to have such wonderful support & encouragement for what I do and for me to love what I do. Thank you!
