I am finally eating! I was not eating or drinking so Mama went to the market and got me some yummy stuff for encouragement. I am not going to lie, its been rough. I had a hard time over night. Mama dragged the mattress from the guest room bed into the living room and spent the night on the floor next to my Xpen. I have been lightly snoozing on and off, but am doing a lot of whining, panting and a little howling. We have talked to my vets office several times and while we know this is a really tough procedure for any dog, I am an older dog with some other health issues, its hitting me pretty hard. I am continuing to get injections of morphine every 6 hours, along with other pain meds and anti inflammatories. We are doing our best to get me through these first couple of days, but the pain is difficult. I am trying to be brave, but it really hurts. Mama is spending the day by my side, Daddy is in and out today and has carried me out back to pee. Its tough, and I am not really sure what to do and Im disoriented. I feel best when someone is laying with me so that is what my family is doing.
