I am finding that it takes increasing amounts of courage these days to stand up for what is true and right. It seems that mocking Christianity and Gods commands is mainstream in the media, modern art and popular literature. However this should not come as a surprise. Gods word foretold the escalating darkness and mounting hostility that we are now experiencing. The Bible reminds us that Indeed all who delight in piety and are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution [will be made to suffer because of their religious stand]. But wicked men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and leading astray others and being deceived and led astray themselves. (2 Timothy 3:12-13). However we dont need to lose heart. These times were foretold to come. In the world we now live, to say that right is right will cost us more than ever. The harassment will intensify, as we appropriately fear God, in a world that makes a hobby of mocking Him. So let us, with Paul, who was being harshly treated and even facing death at the hands of those who hated his promotion of Christ and His word, say: This is in keeping with my own eager desire and persistent expectation and hope, that I shall not disgrace myself nor be put to shame in anything; but that with the utmost freedom of speech and unfailing courage, now as always heretofore, Christ (the Messiah) will be magnified and get glory and praise in this body of mine and be boldly exalted in my person, whether through (by) life or through (by) death. For me to live is Christ [His life in me], and to die is gain [the gain of the glory of eternity]. (Philippians 1:20-21). SELAH!
