I am from Boki, Central Senatorial District of Cross River State - TopicsExpress

I am from Boki, Central Senatorial District of Cross River State and I believe in truth, equity, fairness and justice. It is high time for the people of Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State including traditional rulers, politicians, youth etc to rise and take their turn to produce the next state governor come 2015. The Northerners should not rely on Liyel Imoke’s promises to hand over power to them because it is uncertain that Liyel will uphold to his promises. The Northern Cross River have been marginalized, oppressed, suppressed and cheated in regard to governorship position. Cross River State which was renamed from the South Eastern State in 1976 have produced eight indigenous governors including military administrators, but non have come from the Northern part of the state. To evidenced the sincerity, cooperation, fear of God, respect to the existing political norms of the State by Northern Cross Riverians, that in 2006 from N.U.J Press centre, Diamond Hill, Calabar, to Liyel Imoke’s campaign office at the State Housing, Calabar, Dr. Julius Okputu stepped down his governorship ambition to Sen. Liyel Imoke and on that ground, Liyel debunked the three wise-men agreement as he made a promise to return power to the North. He made this promise in the presence of myself, Joe Onah, Barr. (Dr.) Mike Okom, Geshom Bassey, Atta Ochinke, John Olafor, Dr. Sandy Onoh, Hon. Bassey Ewa, Hon. Jake Ncha, Hon. Orok Duke among others. In 2013, without been forced, induced or threaten, the same Liyel repeated his promise to handover power to the North. Now he is indirectly fronting somebody from the South where series of meetings have been convened to snatch the turn and opportunity from the North to produce the next state governors. It is pertinent therefore to commend and stand by a rational Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndoma Egba who have seen the truth and stand by it. He is a man who uphold to the maxim of equity, justice and fairness as he has truly stand by the North to produce the next state governor; and on his true position, many who have even benefited from him are now antagonizing him. “We say Ndoma Egba is always right”. Who among you can take such a bold step. Then if you are a vanguard of truth and justice lets rise and fight for what belongs to the Northern Cross River. It is the turn for them to produce the next state governor and that must be done. No negotiation, no dialogue, no compromise it is entirely the turn for the Northern Cross River State. (Equity aid the vigilant and it does not suffer a wrong without remedy).
