I am from a family of cops and hunters. I grew up around guns and lots of my family members own, and use, guns of all sorts (as well as bows and arrows, but those are for hunting). That being said, I believe that no-one, outside of law enforcement, needs to own an assault rifle, or large capacity magazine/clip. Do I want stricter gun laws? Not necessarily - I want the ones that are on the books to be enforced the way they should be. I want mandatory sentencing guidelines for people who make guns available to minors, or to people who use them in the commission of a crime. No, my views probably arent popular, but they are mine, so they dont need to be.
