I am frustrated. We, in Scotland, are about to make a decision which will affect the entire United Kingdom. While I have many intelligent, erudite friends, some of whom are YES voters. (Some of whom arent talking to me) I am disappointed that no-one (even the bright guys) are answering the basic questions - after all - it was your idea! What are we going to do about a currency? Using the pound with no input into the Bank of England makes us as impressive as Equador or Panama. WTF? If we are going into Europe - I have heard it may take five years! Why do we want to use the EURO - which they will insist on? Will we be happy paying the higher rate of VAT on things like kids clothes? Why can no-one tell me where all the jobs are going to come from in this Socialist Utopia? Can SNP replace the 6500 jobs at Faslane? or the 3000 on the Clyde building warships for the Union? I hear Wee Eck saying of course they will continue cos this is the best place - I dont know about you but if I was PM of rUK I would put those orders with people who could vote for me - in Portsmouth! I have heard a lot about Trident. Lets scrap trident and use the money to build hospitals - get rid of food banks - all sorts of good things. All very well but we still want to be in NATO right? Trident is funded out of the required 2% of GDP which is spent on defence required for membership. So we would have to spend that on defence. Right? I have tons of questions and no-one is answering any of them. Saying Shell be right on the night mate is not good enough for me. And I dont think it should be good enough for anyone.
