I am getting very tired of all this petrol price hike debate. Many believed that with the reduction of the subsidy, or in certain individual term, increased of petrol price, will make our cost rocket up. Some even went to the extend of comparing the petrol price blah blah blah. The price of petrol today is RM2.30 and comparing this price with 1990, it merely goes up by around 130%. However, if you compare the price for crude 1990 and today, you will be shock of the percentage rise. Okay, now back to the original topic of the effect of cost. I found out from the site below that the cost of living in Brunei is 36% more expensive than Malaysia (Using the capital vs the capital of each country). How would that be possible when Brunei petrol price is so much cheaper than Malaysia? Anyone want to help me understand that? Haiya!!! expatistan/cost-of-living/country/brunei
